“Clean, quiet, and convenient. The breakfast, however, left a bit to be desired. The pancake machine had a sign saying it was out of order. The cinnamon rolls the first day were wonderful but were informed the second and third days that “the truck” would not arrive until after we departed. The biscuits were hard as rocks. This needs some attention. Not terrible but lacking the care given to the rest of the property.”

Only problem was air-conditioning..knobs wouldn't turn properly so couldn't turn it off as it got really cold. Front desk fixed came and fixed that. Continental breakfast with muffins and bagels, hard boiled eggs and cereal. Got boring after a couple of days. Lots of restaurants nearby tho. Train tracks behind hotel. “I was initially given a room with a broken lock and no working AC. I went back to the lobby to request another room, and was given a second room that was filthy. There was dirt in the corners of the room, a foul sewage odor that came from the bathroom, the bathroom toiletries looked as if they were just thrown on the counter and the bedding was stained. Not long after I checked in, the power went completely out. Not to mention that there were very suspicious people outside of my room for two……

“We stayed in July 2026 in the Baldwin room and can provide very positive feedback. This self service hotel is very well run. Our apartment was spacious and comfortable. The location is in the quiet city centre near the university. When parking in the back of the hotel guests need to park close to the fence/wall to leave space for the other cars to maneuver. We were never able to reach the hotel team on the phone but they are very efficient inn communicating via email/text. Please be aware……

“Lovely stay”

“This was a quaint little property right downtown and then walking distance to lots of businesses and restaurants. Breakfast is included and was delicious which was a huge place. The room was a reasonable price. I enjoyed the old house charm and the excellent service from the staff. Because the property is a remodeled older home there are not a lot of outlets to plug in devices. I would definitely recommend this location when staying in Staunton.”
