“Post reservation processing by Expedia is flawed. Selection of Soldotna Inn as destination resulted in room at Soldotna Lodge, 5 miles remote from Soldotna. Check-in requirement sent to me stated that photo id upload prior to arrival was required, however there was no provision to do that. Calling the facility revealed that there is no check-in desk at the Soldotna Lodge. Visitors must go to Soldotna Inn to check-in. Soldotna Inn does not have staff on duty after 11 PM, however there is a……

“Worth it! Brilliant location. Feels like being directly out in nature, but all the amenities of home. Timeless memories of sitting on the front deck of our own log cabin in the woods taking in the sights, sounds and scents of the kenai bush. “We had a day of king salmon fishing planned in the area, so we decided to stay in Soldotna for the night. We paid $234 for a double queen room. The room had several issues. The air conditioner rattled throughout the night, one of the mattresses sagged noticeably in the middle, and the door was difficult to close properly. On the positive side, the room was clean, the breakfast was great, and the staff accommodated an early check-in, which we appreciated. Would I stay here again? Probably not……
