A bit out of the way from restaurants and city center. The Scandic near the train station is more centrally located. The hotel is a bit out dated. The bed had a very thin mattress and the pilows were flimsy.

Stayed here with a friend for 3 nights. We arrived on a Saturday so the reception was not open however check in was easy and seamless thanks to the email instructions.
The location on Katajanokka was close to various tourist attractions including the ferry to Suomenlinna, the Esplanadi, Helsinki cathedral and the old market hall to name a few. There is also a supermarket very close by which is great if you want to save some money and cook your own dinner in your room!
If your trip is by ferry then this hotel is great because it is very close to the passenger terminal.
