This colorful apartment is all you'll need for your stress-free stay in the Conch Republic. THE MELLOW MACAW is located right in Old Town near the famous Southernmost Point of the United States, two blocks from the Southernmost Beach, and just steps from Upper Duval Street. You couldn't be any closer to the nightlife and attractions of downtown (La Te Da and Banana Cafe are a block away, the Hemingway House is just down the street), and yet this tropical two bedroom retreat is tucked around the side of an Old Town home with its own private patio. You won't need a car, but should you decide to bring one you will have a private off-street parking space.

THE PATIO...

Through a quaint gate off Virginia Street, pass around a tall tropical tree and follow the path along to your private entryway. Through your hidden gate you'll be in a completely fenced private outdoor porch area with a full outdoor dining area. THE MELLOW MACAW is equipped with comfortable patio furniture sitting under a big shady umbrella, and a gas grill for preparing outdoor meals and enjoying happy hour just a quick walk to the attractions that await you on Duval Street.

THE LIVING AREA...

Opening the front door of THE MELLOW MACAW you'll find a cozy, island-inspired home with an open living plan. As you enter the apartment, you'll be greeted with a brightly colored and comfortable sectional sofa in front of a large flat screen TV. The sectional pulls out to a Queen sized bed to sleep 2 extra guests.

THE KITCHEN...

Beside the living area, the open kitchen is fully equipped with all the tools you'll need to whip up a meal at home. The kitchen is also equipped with an electric stove, oven, and a dishwasher for easy clean up after meals. There's even a small sound system to set the mood while having dinner.

THE ACCOMMODATIONS...

• Master Bedroom: King bed, full closet, flat screen TV, and a private patio.

• Second Bedroom: Queen bed, large armoire, and flat screen TV.

The shared hall bathroom has a walk-in shower.

Back to Key West after 30 years

Had a great time returning to Key West after 30 years, bringing my wife and kids to see it for the first time. Great fam memories walking Duval, listening to music, going to the beach, etc. Place was perfect for us.

Spring Break Get-Away

Location is great! Size was perfect for 5. Loved sitting on the back deck to apply sunscreen or cool off after walking around in the hot sun. Location great to everything-we only rode in a car from the airport. Having kids, knowing that the gate to the back deck locked and there were extra locks on the doors made us feel more safe.

Perfect Weekend in Key West

Our first trip to Key West was perfect! Great weather set up enjoyable tours of the town by foot and bike. We really enjoyed the lovely gardens all over town. And the Mellow Macaw was a great location for launching our adventures.

Wonderful Stay

We had a wonderful stay here as first timers in Key West. It was perfect walking distance to everything. We really loved the key lime pies left for us in the fridge. I would definitely stay here again!

Great Vacation!

In between Duval and Whitehead. Walkable to anywhere you would want to go. Apartment was cozy and homey. Property managers were very friendly, attentive, and a pleasure to deal with.

A must stay in Key West

The Mellow Macaw is at a perfect location in Key West. It is in walking distance to everything, yet far away enough so you can have some quiet. The house was impeccable and a block away from Circle K so we could get some basic groceries. When I go back to Key West I will definitely be staying at the Mellow Macaw.

Awesome winter getaway!

Excellent company to worth with, super easy to get in touch with, very accommodating. Unit was incredibly clean and well-equipped. Super close to everything in Key West- beaches, restaurants, and shopping. We’ll be back for sure!

Everything was perfect! I would suggest there be a different way to plug in the patio lights. We are 60-70 yrs and it was risky plugging in the lights. We did it anyway because we loved the patio and wanted to utilize it at night. Loved the entire set-up!

Cute Condo in Walkable Location

My parents and I were delighted from the minute we walked into the Mellow Macaw. The decor was so welcoming and cute, and the unit was super clean and comfortable. Plus, they left a key lime pie for us in the fridge! We were able to walk pretty much everywhere we went in Key West during our stay (though it was nice to have the driveway for our rental car, since we flew in and out of Miami). Other than the roosters, it was just far enough off Duval that it was pretty quiet at night. From one of the bedrooms, you could hear people walking around upstairs on occasion but nothing that was too distracting. The patio was a nice addition and a pleasant place to hang out in the afternoon when we weren't out and about. I'd highly recommend this property!

Brian was a top notch five star host! Very friendly & easy to communicate with and response time was quick. The property is charming and homey exactly as the pictures portray. The location was absolutely ideal! You can’t get a better “walking distance” property than this one! It was just perfect all around! Great little house and location

We really enjoyed our stay in the Mellow Macaw house. The inside of the house was very clean and it looked like it had recently been remodeled and painted. The location is great as well. You can easily walk to most placed in downtown Key West. I would highly recommend this property.

Delightful and quiet

This property was just as advertised. Delightful and clean. The AC worked perfectly, thank goodness. It was nice to stay on the quieter end of town. Short walk to delicious breakfast and lunch spots. It was nice to have a parking spot as well! Would definitely recommend!
