“The hotel spa was dirty and had dead flies everywhere in and around the pool. There was a light hanging down from the ceiling in the steam room. Multiple lights smashed in the carpark. We also didn’t have any towels in our room upon arrival.”

“I found Courtney and Cookie very helpful and able to deal with folk well. The breakfast is quite basic but the rooms are really lovely and spacious and it is fairly central.”

“My partner and me stayed during the first horrible heatwave in June, to get some respite in the AC that was featured in the amenities of the property. Not only was there AC in the room, but also in the pub/restaurant area! It was absolutely delightful - we struggled leaving! The staff were so friendly and attentive; nothing was too much trouble. We were given a flask of fresh milk to have with tea/coffee in the room, and some freshly baked cookies. I couldn’t get the shower to cool down, this……

“The room was very spacious and comfortable everything and more was provided for our stay. Was offered a cream tea on arrival which of course we excepted. There was a great choice at breakfast. Terri was a wonderful host full of local knowledge. Would highly recommend. Crosscombe was a lovely village with a great pub serving good food. There was a bar at the b and b.”

“Really lovely family run pub and rooms. Food, service and staff were all excellent. The room was spotless and spacious with a great outdoor area to sit with a cuppa. Everything you need is here and a it's a great base to explore lots of local places of interest. The staff were extremely accommodating and friendly. Could not fault and would definitely recommend.”

“The Manor Inn is pretty much perfect! The pub itself is beautiful with many original and historic features. In contrast, the rooms have many modern features such as aircon which made my stay very comfortable. The pub garden is beautiful, breakfast is well organised and the staff are helpful.”

Jan and his colleagues were all helpful, friendly and enthusiastic throughout. Room was absolutely spotless, well appointed and comfortable. Food was exceptional, can’t speak highly enough about the evening meal we had it was absolutely delicious and breakfast in the morning was tasty too, super fresh pastries! “A 3-star hotel / bed-and-breakfast - very personal, friendly service. The hotel is visited daily by locals buying newspapers. All meals cooked to order, including breakfast - a nice change to the usual experience in hotels nowadays. We turned up at about 4.30pm to find opening time was 5pm - we must have missed this in the instructions. The hotel was open promptly at 5 pm however. On the Sunday the bar closed at 5pm so dinner had to be elsewhere - not a problem for us as we always tend to have……

“We enjoyed our stay in the historic Inn. Our room was large, clean and was ample for our 2 day staff. Breakfast was very good. The Inn isocated in a pretty village near Frome. We enjoyed our stay.”
