“Excellent stay! The pool and hot tub was down for maintenance but that was not something we were looking to enjoy. The rooms were very clean, beds were comfortable and the hot breakfast was delicious and the options were more than we expected. The best part was the shower and how powerful the water pressure was! “its a great historic house with a large living space. Everything is updated. walking distance to downtown and the river. We were in town for a funeral and visiting relatives so we only used the house for sleeping, showering and getting dressed. the house was clean and well stocked with towels and everything we needed. “The room was clean, quiet and the customer service was exemplary. However, the TV was not working. Hotel personnel came to try to fix the issue but it couldn’t be resolved. “This was a nice hotel at one time. Not long ago. We stayed on a Friday night and there were only 10 cars in the parking lot. It’s my belief that this hotel needs an upgrade, but simply can’t afford it. It’s such a great location in Port Huron, close to all the wonderful amenities, this town offers, but… the room was dated, the bath mat was stained, the carpet was stained, and the staff was kind but definitely new and inexperienced with dealing with a public. There was a very heavy, musty smell……
