Begin your visit to Kingman by getting to know the city’s fascinating history. Visit the city’s historic downtown to find more than 40 heritage-listed sights and places. Check out the Arizona Route 66 Museum to learn about the American icon that has its roots in early pioneering expeditions and the 1950s wave of motoring adventurers. The museum is located within the Historic Powerhouse, the former supplier of power to the surrounding towns. Visit the Historic Railroad Depot to find the Kingman Railroad Museum and discover the rich cultural traditions of Northwestern Arizona at the Mohave Museum of History and Arts.

Take a scenic drive around the city’s mesmerizing Route 66 roads, such as the hair-raising Sitgreaves Pass. Don’t miss stopping by the Cool Springs Station, a historic gas station that represents the charms of an old-fashioned road trip.
