Okay for a quick stay

It is good to see that this hotel is getting much needed renovations. it worked for our family as we just needed a quick overnight in the area. The bed was comfortable and clean. Unfortunately the rest of the room needed major attention. The walls and floors were unnecessarily dirty - a good cleaning of this room would have made a big difference.

Okay, hotel, not worth the money.

Pros: I did like the comfort of the bed. The TV worked well, and there was a fridge/freezer so we could freeze water and an icepack.
Cons: The decor could be more pleasant...perhaps a brighter and more pleasant colour.
Location: The location was fine...near the highway...not far from the water. nothing to do nearby without a 10 minute drive.
I booked this hotel through Expedia. The rates were reduced but you did not know what you were booking until you paid. I was willing to take a chance. When I found out it was a Ramada in Kingston, I was very disappointed, as I had chosen the location of Wolfe Island. In any event, what was done was done. Thinking that we were getting a 3.5 rated hotel, which is usually quite decent, I was glad I was only staying one night. The room was basically no frills at all. What I mean by that is, that it was dingy, and basic...so much so I can't tell you what pictures if any were on the walls. It was such a drab and unpleasant room. The hotel itself has a brooding environment. The doors are dark brown, the carpet is dark brown. It was clear that they are trying to renovate, but it was also clear that the room we were in was in the part of hte hotel that had already been renovated....or so it seemed. Yikes!! It was hard to tell. We paid under $100 for this room, and dare I say, had I known, I would have paid the nominal difference to stay in a standard room in another hotel. In other words, don't pay more than $100 to stay at this hotel. Also, there was a door to the balcony, but the glass could not be opened to let the air. There was no window that could be opened.

Never Again.

Hotel was wildly over priced, it is really a 2 level Motel. It is currently in terrible shape with blistered paint, however they are in the process of a major overhaul.

Cheap hotel close to 401

Pros: The location and the price.
Cons: The entire place needs to be renovated.
Location: Right off of 401. Denny's on location. Lots of fast food restaurants and shopping nearby.
The place is run down. The hallway smelled of stale cigarette smoke. The heating unit was blowing under the curtains, so the curtains were ballooning out the entire time. The beds, however, were clean and comfortable.

Average room in an average hotel. No real complaints, the place is old, the age shows. Lack of wifi was disappointing. Not a place I would go for personal time, but acceptable for an overnight business stay.

Cheap convenient hotel

Pros: The beds were comfortable, the sheets were clean. There is a Denny's on location. The parking is easy.
Cons: The hotel is undergoing much needed renovations.
Location: It is right off the 401 highway. There is shopping including an outlet mall and fast food restaurants nearby. It is a 10 min. drive to the downtown.
If you just need a cheap room to stay overnight, this hotel is adequate.

We had a good stay. Room was very clean and bed was very comfortable. Lots of amenities around the hotel and Denny's restaurant was right there at the door
