We went back to reception and were given a room on the 4th floor without a view, which we were told was for the time being, but as we had plans we couldn't hang around to move rooms that evening. We spoke to staff about this twice during our stay and were told they were leaving a note for management, and have emailed with no response. Hotel is in a good location and reasonable but very disappointed that we paid for an upgrade and that we have received no explanation or response. The only downside was the breakfast, we had to wait absolutely ages for a coffee but the lady was very apologetic and we hadn't been told there was actually a help yourself coffee machine at the other end of the breakfast room. For the price of the breakfast we all thought it was rather substandard with not enough choices of fruit/meats/cheeses which for a hotel of this standard sadly lacked."
