I’ll start with what went well. The rooms were beautiful. The dining staff and valets were 5 stars. But, it was disappointing that our rooms never got cleaned (if this was somehow a rule because we were there only two nights it wasn’t communicated with us). We had to beg for towels and never had service (it took 3 phone calls over two hours) and ran out of toilet paper. I think if they are going to bill themselves as an upscale hotel they need to step up their housekeeping.

The property is beautiful. Rooms are clean and beds are comfortable. A big drawback is dogs are allowed, and we had to tolerate one howling for hours in a room next to our room. We were offered an "upgrade" the first night to a room with 1 bed and a sleeper sofa (yet we were staying in a room with 2 kings - so not an upgrade at all - plus we didn't want an upgrade, as we just didn't want to listen to a howling animal). The second night another person at the front desk moved us to the same kind of room after she came up and was able to also hear the atrocious, nonstop howling and barking.

This was my second stay and it was perfect just like the first, the safe is attentive to my every need. Everyone is helpful, the only tip is if you are getting gas for your car the gas stations are in a very sketchy neighborhood especially the one closest to the hotel on maps go a little further out to Casey’s, there are people begging for money that will come up to your car. The room service is great too, I didn’t eat it this time I was craving the Cheesecake Factory and it’s one about 29 mins away. Don’t hesitate to stay at this establishment oh and by the way I’m a black Muslim woman traveling by myself and I always felt safe!
