Lovely little resort. Rraaly good restaurants within walking distance. Rooms were super clean, and the AC worked very well. Shower and bathroom a little basic, but it is remote. Wonderful staff, excellent breakfast included. Quiet quiet quiet. Peaceful. Oh, and they can rent you a scooter for 300 baht a day. It's not super cheap, but $10/day is reasonable, and you don't have to hunt a deal. Highly recommended

This is not the place for people who are accustomed to first class hotels or who like to take cruises where most everything is provided. In particular, it is not for people who are accustomed to complaining when things are imperfect (ants, a mediocre breakfast, etc.). Thai natives do not tolerate confrontation; they are the sweetest, most loving people in the world, and will worry endlessly about one's welfare. I loved this resort and wish we had spent more than one night here. I would describe the bungalows as minimalist but perfectly adequate for a stay in the islands where you spend most of your time outside anyway. They're also conveniently equipped with a well-sized mini fridge to cool your bottled water and yummy thai leftovers. This hotel was absolutely stunning. Frankly, I am not used to the level of care we received. It is clear to me now why Layana is ranked the #1 hotel on the island. Absolutely gorgeous grounds, insanely good food, and top-notch attention to detail. Perfection!!

The Ban Sainai was like staying on a tropical island. It is very spread out, but the staff were always ready to drive you from your room to the pool or reception area. The breakfasts were very good as were the meals at the pool. The pool was absolutely gorgeous and we spent plenty of time there. The resort has a regular shuttle schedule to take you to the beach. This was an awesome experience to stay at the Ban Sainai.

Great location, return after 8 years and still a great experience. Professional staff- always helpful. Bonus: Dive&Relax Divecenter is on the location- same professionalism as on the Resort.

Such an amazing experience! This property is just steps to the beach and is staffed by some great people. Upon check-in I was easily able to rent a moped from the front desk for two days. Which I used to explore the whole island. Every time I came in or out of the property I was kindly greeted, which made it feel like home.
