"The hotel itself was nice. Most of the staff was great and delivered good customer service. We did however ran into the same girl at the front desk twice and both times it was less then pleasant. First of all who charges for internet these days - especially outrages $15.99/day. When I call front desk to ask about it I was advised it’s free for the hotel guests - just accept the charge and you won’t be billed. Well that was a lie, the front desk tried charging us the fee anyways. We rented a car for half of our stay and when ask at the front desk about their parking no one told us it’s $35/day. We were just given the key to the parking lot and that’s it. It was a little shocking when we saw the bill to say the least, especially since there are plants of street parking along the side of the hotel. I paid less for the valet parking at the Gaslamp. The cherry on top was the rude girl at the front desk while we were checking out. She was very short with us and arguing about everything we would ask her. Finally she gave us the receipt and keep working on her computer (I thought we weren’t done yet, since she didn’t say anything while handing our check), she raised her head up and with rude demeanour ask “what else do we need”. I am sorry - but Marriott employees should get some customer service training.…"

"I sincerely do not want to bash the hotel. Its nice, the employees were great. There were just a couple things that I was disappointed with. I picked this hotel specifically based on the in room spa amenities. The website said they were up and running. When I checked in the receptionist said the spa has been closed for 5 years, with a chuckle. I said maybe you should remove it from your website. His reply...its definitely not on our website. It definitely is....It was super disappointing. The requirements for in room spa was that the room had to be big enough to accommodate. I paid to upgrade my room to a studio just to accommodate that requirement.. while the room was nice it also lacked a few amenities. After traveling all morning we checked in went upstairs there was nothing in this upgraded room. I was looking for some bottled water, or juice...the refrigerator was empty, no microwave which in turn made bringing food back to the room impossible and the only onsite restaurant in the hotel was closed. Also disappointing. One more rant..upon checking in i was informed i would have to pay a $300 deposit for daily fees. I asked what for? He stumbled on his words and didnt seem to have an answer. I had already paid for everything in advance and I understand daily fees if there was a mini bar or snacks in the room. Or room service... or spa services.. or valet parking (side note on the parking..there is none..the lot across the street is $15 an hour) .…"
