“From the moment we arrived we were made very welcome to Port Gaverne. Our room was very comfortable with great facilities The bar was a lovely place to wind away a few hours, with a great variety of drinks on offer. The breakfast menu was full of great choices to start the day’s adventures around Cornwall and the restaurant had lots of great food to choose from, especially the Sunday roast. The staff were as friendly,helpful, welcoming and made our stay one to remember. We hope to go back...

“Such a wonderful property, and the rooms are so very clean and comfortable. We slept so well, and were treated quite nicely. Kate is such a lovely host, and her brekkie is top-notch. We enjoyed chatting with her as we ate, and found her delightful and helpful. The farm setting is so peaceful (for us guest that is, a lot of hard work for owners), and the location is great for visiting the Lizard and other places around south Cornwall. “I don't think I've ever been made to feel so unwelcome at a hotel or B'n'B. We were using public transport. We were dropped off by taxi at 10am. Obviously we weren't expecting to check in but I've never stayed anywhere where luggage storage isn't available. The owner's immediate reaction was to tell us we check in isn't until 2. She did allow us to leave the luggage but I was taken aback at the unwelcoming attitude. We came back at 2. Owner complained that she had no details about the booking....

“We enjoyed a wonderful stay in the 'Nauti' Shepherd's hut. It was so cosy, warm, clean and immaculately presented. The bed was super comfortable and everything we could have needed was provided. A great location, with a peaceful and relaxing countryside setting. Great communication from the hosts. We will definitely be back in the future. Highly recommended for a cornish get away. ”

“We had a lovely spacious room with a comfortable bed, a bonus was the beautiful views of the river through the wide full height windows. Only downside was the lack of a cooked breakfast which is not available. There isn’t a table in the room so we had to sit on the single chair and blanket box to eat the cereals provided, not ideal when you want to fortify yourself for the SWCP walk. They also didn’t service the room which meant we had to wash the cereal bowls and cups in the bathroom sink...

“The Claremont offers clean, comfortable accommodation and ideally placed just a few minutes walk from the harbour and fishing village of Polperro. It has it's own car park, and although it doesn't have a 24/7 reception, it'll provide you with a code to get back into the hotel if you go out. The breakfast was complimentary and offered plenty of choice, catering to most tastes. You can even have it al fresco if you want.
