The hotel was available on short notice and was suitable for our one night stay. The room rate of $338 for the night seemed steep, but was the best deal we could manage in Laguna Beach. No luxury, but we don't care. There is a small swimming pool. There is a convenience/liquor store next door. The hotel is located at the northern extent of the free transportation trolly loop. We tried to use it, but the schedule seemed random, had trouble figuring where the stop was so we just drove. Getting to town center is not walkably close. Breakfast in the lobby consisted of English Muffins, Begals, cerial, oatmeal packets, boiled eggs, coffee, tea, juice, butter, jelly, salt packets, milk. Two tiny two top tables, took the food to our room. We checked into our room and there was no toilet paper, but housekeeping was near and gave us a couple of rolls. There is a small underground parking, but we never had trouble finding a spot. A/C in the room worked fine. Shower OK. No checkout required.
