"You could not ask for more! Although we only had 8 people (it sleeps 16), you can tell the owners want to be sure that it not only sleeps 16 but has enough of everything for 16 - dishes, seating, towels, etc. They even had two coffee makers that were kept busy with the 8 of us! There are two casual living areas - both very comfortable. A great, large deck off the back and another on the front for viewing Lake Pepin. We found absolutely everything in the kitchen we needed! Every room was clean and nicely decorated. If you have a quilting or scrapbooking group, they have a great set-up for that too! Cannot recommend it more highly!"

"My family truly enjoyed our stay! Beth provided excellent communication prior to and during our stay. I appreciated her checking-in to make sure things were going well and offering for us to reach out if needed (which we didn't need as everything went smoothly). The house was very clean, kitchen had everything we needed, and beds very comfortable. The welcome basket of items was very appreciated as well as the coffee items. Ziploc plastic bags in the drawer was handy for a couple items. Having the garage was beneficial as we brought our bicycles, and we could securely store them during our stay. Finally, location was very convenient. It was an easy walk to the waterfront, marina, and local places downtown. Locally, we enjoyed Heidi's Huggamug Cafe, Big Bear Pizzeria, Marien's Deli, and fish fry at Port 104."

"This is my poker group's third visit to this lovely home in this wonderful town. The many beds and bathrooms really work well for our group of 7+. We adore all of the shops and boutiques downtown, eat and drink at all of the establishments, and even discovered the nail salon this time! The location of the home is within walking distance of downtown - excellent for quick (or long) shopping jaunts. The amenities of the home are top notch. We especially like how there is a table large enough for all of us to gather and play hold 'em as well as a large living room filled with comfy seating for all of us to watch movies by the fireplace. The owner is very easy to contact and has thoroughly provided things you will need. Highly recommend Chestnut House for any trips to Lake City!"
