We booked this hotel last minute and was pleasantly surprised a room was available. Our check in process was quick and easy and our room was extremely nice and inviting. We had a delicious dinner at the Golden Gate Saloon located inside the hotel. Super friendly staff! We can't wait to come back.

This is the cutest cottage I have ever seen. Everything was Ikea'd and modern. Meaning that they have the perfect modern decor for small spaces. Stocked with coffee, tea, and a small continental breakfast including apples, Danishes, cereal.

This has all the ambiance of a B&B without the stress of feeling like you're in someone's personal home. Beautiful platters of fresh fruit and waffles among other things for complimentary breakfast, and the location is ideal. It's our new go-to place for Grass Valley.

I loved everything. My room was so cozy, my bed was super comfy. The stream outside my room was so soothing, I sat outside and read my book and enjoyed the beautiful trees and the tranquil sounds of the stream. Pria the owner was so sweet. Made me feel very welcome. I cannot wait to return.

This hotel has so much history. It gives you the feeling of being in the Old West.
The town is very interesting and the people were all very kind.
Check out the Deer Creek trail and suspension bridge when you are there.

The Outside Inn was one of the most user friendly motels we've stayed at. It had every amenity we hoped for and many we didn't expect. We especially appreciated the fully self-contained bathroom (instead of the sink and vanity in the living area). The fully functional kitchen with refrigerator, microwave, pots, pans, plates, coffee maker, etc. were unlike anything we had seen before. We would love to stay in the "Winter Room" again, but we are curious about the other unique rooms.

My friend and I planned on taking a nice trip to Grass Valley this weekend, but on a budget. We paid $86 per night to stay at the Holiday Lodge, which is about as inexpensive as you can get in that area. When we first walked into our room (#40), we were not too impressed as it definitely had not been updated for years (stains, dirt in between the tile, nails and holes in the walls etc). It didn't feel like a comfortable environment to sleep in, not to mention that we had a loud neighbor who was...

I liked Dee the property manager she was very pleasant! The only concern I had was having to have my credit card on file and the paperwork wasn't very secure only frowny face over all very pleasant experience!

I stayed here two weekends in a row. I liked it, the people were friendly and it is a cute little place near some great businesses, restaurants, etc. The first weekend though was difficult. I had my grandson with me part of the time and there were so many people smoking outside their rooms, we always had to have our door shut and i could not take him outside, it was awful, second weekend didn't seem to be a problem..
