"Straight forward instructions of how to check in, the staff were friendly and helpful of how to access the hotel room and out the building. Lovely little room with a lovely window view outside, spotless with some tea and coffee treats. Convenient in the middle of town too. Will be returning again ! "

"Our expectations were by far exceeded with this lovely hotel. All the staff that we came across was helpful, friendly and so efficient. We spent the afternoon on Saturday in the Nelson and enjoyed a delicious lunch. The receptionist was welcoming and warm and very helpful with queries and organising a little suprise in our room. The room was clean, well equipped and very nicely presented. The bed was bit on the hard side but this is probably down to personal preference more than anything else. We had a meal in the palm court which was so beautiful and felt very special with the pianist playing and singing. The pool and changing rooms could do with a bit of updating but it was clean and warm so would happily use again. On the whole this place is an absolute gem where you are made to feel special, would happily stay again. "

"A fabulous old building with charming interior. Very comfortable rooms and dining room. Clean room and bathroom; certainly adequate for a short stay staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The breakfast is a feas.. Be aware that the parking is not onsite as listed. Strongly advise phoning the hotel for info and directions."
