“We were booked to stay for 3 days the staff were polite and friendly but our experience wasn't great to be honest the place looks tired and rundown they shut the bar early the 1st night we arrived due to lack of customers we were told ....we also had no idea it was being used for accommodating people who looked like asylum seekers ...there were possessions stacked outside the stairs to our accomodation and people loading vans for most of the time we stayed including in the middle of the night……

“The room was lovely and so was the hot tub. Would be nice to have a small fridge in the room for cooling drinks. Garden Rooms need a bit of an overhaul, just seemed a bit dated, but still had a lovely stay and the staff were really friendly.”

“It’s a steal location for nature lovers, tree huggers and general lovers of good service. The rooms are excellently laid out and have a super selection of drinks, hot chocolate, tea,coffees. The Bathrooms look and feel modern and have a high standard of fixtures and fittings. Very hard to find fault with this venue as Lucy and all the staff without exception go out of their way to please and accommodate your stay without being intrusive or overbearing. “Lovely country pub,spacious clean room with lovely big bathroom,really comfortable bed.Had a lovely evening meal, the waitress was really helpful and got our order in quickly after giving us the heads up that there were a lot of large parties in that evening and ordering promptly would be beneficial,food was amazing and good value. Breakfast the next morning was a wide choice and the hosts at the property were brilliant.Would definitely stay again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to others.”

“Lovely setting, great welcome, food superb, staff friendly and helpful We had the suite (kingfisher) which was an excellent room except for a radiator being stuck on in the bathroom. The lady in charge (lovely lass) managed to get it sorted as the outside temp was up in the 30’s!!! If I have any criticism of the room, a little use of bleach would have gone a long way but please don’t let that put you off. The place is very very good. This is our second time staying and it definitely won’t be……
