“The cottage is well maintained. The little touches are nice, books to read, games available to play, doodle art book to color. The host and hostess went beyond to make sure I was settled in and comfortable. They even provided me breakfast foods so that I could eat before leaving as I had to leave before their scheduled breakfast time. Their property reflects their pride in their home. Their warm greetings made me wish I had more time than the overnight stay booked. Very friendly folk!”

“We really enjoyed our stay for 2 nights at the Quarrystone Bed and Breakfast on Salt Spring Island. The breakfasts were amazing and would cost a lot at a restaurant !! They encouraged you to take muffins and pastries away to have later in the day. This allowed us skip lunch. The staff were wonderful ! The farm setting was lovely and we had an ocean view through the trees from our bottom floor unit. It was helpful to have a fridge in the room too! Room was very clean. The air conditioner...

“The parking was a major problem as there wasn't enough for when all of the rooms were booked. You'd get blocked in by other vehicles! The breakfast wasn't ready when the host said it would be and there wasn't enough seating for two sets of guests to be eating at the same time. We ended up leaving and went to a quaint coffee shop for breakfast instead even though our room rate was to include breakfast for the three of us. Wouldn't go back again nor recommend.”

“The place itself is very nice. But.. The owners have a large dog (pitbull? hound?) who has healthy protective instincts. The problem is that when guests enter the property (using door-lock code provided by the owners) and the owner is not in the living room area the dog acts on these protective instincts by greeting the guests growling and snarling. I was lucky it didn't go beyond that as I managed to quickly retreat outside. The owner was very apologetic, but...”

“Pros: rural setting, large suite, comfortable bed Cons: need electrical upgrade as only one kitchen appliance could operate at a time. 4 large dogs live upstairs- when they get excited lots of running and barking.”
