“Breakfast had these awesome ratings but it was really, really poor. Parking was in an adjacent hotel but not allowed outside Thatch which was odd when there are a minimal amount of rooms. It meant parking, carrying bags and then parking again. There was limited staff and you had to search for them if requiring anything. for instance the coffee machine was out of water and we had to wait 20-30 minutes for a member of staff to appear in the lounge to refill. The place was cute and had some views,……

“I’ve stayed at Cole’s bay twice now and found it just perfect for me. The owners are wonderful people that always make me feel welcomed. The breakfast is always great too!”

“The cottage is well maintained. The little touches are nice, books to read, games available to play, doodle art book to color. The host and hostess went beyond to make sure I was settled in and comfortable. They even provided me breakfast foods so that I could eat before leaving as I had to leave before their scheduled breakfast time. Their property reflects their pride in their home. Their warm greetings made me wish I had more time than the overnight stay booked. Very friendly folk!”

“I would have given this property a much better review if the check in wasn't good. This guest house is no longer associated to or called Spinnakers...it is now Catherine Street guest house but I was never contacted about such. The email with the code and room number did not arrive, so I went to the Spinnakers restaurant to inquire about the booking, not knowing that they were not still connected. The gal there was not too impressed with being asked about how to get into the guest house, but did……

“Pros: rural setting, large suite, comfortable bed Cons: need electrical upgrade as only one kitchen appliance could operate at a time. 4 large dogs live upstairs- when they get excited lots of running and barking.”

“Great breakfast. Free parking and accessible to many tourists sites. Delightful and helpful staff. Many steps, room air conditioning not working. Very poor shower in bathroom.”
