“Family winter getaway. Spectacular views and great location on the upper part of the north shore. Loft is really great with bunk beds having limited room and access to the top bunk. Was a tight fit for our teenagers. Be prepared for morning sun in addition to moonlight. Special place in a special location.”

“We opened the door to the most incredible view & very welcoming home. The host had a nice basket of area treats for our stay. “What a perfect setting in the woods and close to everything ie. Lutsen and Grand Marais. A few initial small glitches; however, Mr. Smothers was MORE than accommodating especially given it was Thanksgiving day. Pool was closed; however, the public pool in Grand Marais was open. A setting were several quiet walks with family was very relaxing and therapeutic! I HIGHLY recommend THE HIBERNATION HOUSE! ”
