This review is not meant to be derogatory, only the opinion they asked for. The hotel is clean enough, however we were given a room on the 1st floor. The room is sold as an oceanfront room and indeed it is. But nothing can be seen but a sand dune when you're given a room on the first floor. Please be advised to ask for the third floor if you're wanting an "ocean view". Walking to and from the beach is an "up and down the dunes". Nothing is flat so it's a bit of a work out. Not what we are used to for sure. I understand, being a island/peninsula, there is a very good reason for the sand dunes but just not my cup of tea. Breakfast is included but if you're placed in the second building then you'll have to walk across the parking lot for coffee and food. There are no sidewalks in this area of the Outer Banks so walking anywhere is a bit dangerous. Keeping in mind the review is for the hotel itself it is clean and sufficient.
