“My room was mostly clean (water rings on some of the furniture that were sticky), but overall satisfactory. It was quiet and comfortable. I liked the layout including a sitting area with a desk. The architecture was beautiful (Frank Lloyd Wright). It’s a bit dated, but not awful. Close to Mason City’s downtown which is so quaint and totally walkable. Lots of history and beautiful architecture. I highly recommend if you want to hang out for a day or two.”

“The front desk clerk was very friendly and helpful. He moved a fily with a barking dog to a different part of the hotel. He also, when we had trouble with the remote for the TV came and helped us manage finding TV stations.”

“Loved the kitchenette option which had a few fishes to use. Bring your own seasonings. Deck with chairs was pleasant. Room was clean and easy to find.”

The building shows severe lack of maintenance and upkeep. I won't stay here again or recommend this property in its present condition.”
