Clean and immaculately presented room. Shame the blinds in the bedroom and the heating didn’t work, although an electric heater was provided which was very efficient. Warm welcome. Lovely room in the coach house - spotlessly clean, warm and with very comfortable beds. We ate in the restaurant for dinner and breakfast and the food was very good with friendly and prompt service.

We visited Matlock to see the original family farm from and ancestral home of my immigrant ancestors. We hired a taxi with a driver who knew the area well to take us around the countryside. Would highly recommend Fox taxi service.
Matlock Bath is a summer resort town, with a lot of activities geared towards children. Its more sedate in the fall/winter. Bakewell which is nearby is much more bustling year round.
