The room was clean and warm only downside is why was there no bottled water in the room as for the past two years there has always been bottled water

A really lovely place to stay. Was spotless and the stay was very comfortable.The only thing that i can fault was there are hidden charges. We visited Matlock to see the original family farm from and ancestral home of my immigrant ancestors. We hired a taxi with a driver who knew the area well to take us around the countryside. Would highly recommend Fox taxi service.
Matlock Bath is a summer resort town, with a lot of activities geared towards children. Its more sedate in the fall/winter. Bakewell which is nearby is much more bustling year round.
