The room was clean and warm only downside is why was there no bottled water in the room as for the past two years there has always been bottled water

One of the best stays at a hotel we have had. Very comfortable and interesting rooms, fantastic bar and restaurant and incredibly helpful and welcoming staff.

We visited Matlock to see the original family farm from and ancestral home of my immigrant ancestors. We hired a taxi with a driver who knew the area well to take us around the countryside. Would highly recommend Fox taxi service.
Matlock Bath is a summer resort town, with a lot of activities geared towards children. Its more sedate in the fall/winter. Bakewell which is nearby is much more bustling year round.
