Lovely location. Welcoming staff, comfortable beds, nice shower, nice food. Lovely pool if you like cold water swimming. Also pet friendly.

Lovely old building made into a comfortable and stylish hotel. Library and lounge areas very relaxing with real fires. Menu very appealing but did not eat at the hotel, breakfast was excellent. A really nice hotel very close to Bakewell, the Chatsworth estate and house

The cottage was so lovely, homely, warm and inviting. The area is just stunning, absolutely loved it. If you are looking for a country get away then this is the place. The hosts were very accommodating, friendly and genuine nice people. Thankyou so much for a great few days

We visited Matlock to see the original family farm from and ancestral home of my immigrant ancestors. We hired a taxi with a driver who knew the area well to take us around the countryside. Would highly recommend Fox taxi service.
Matlock Bath is a summer resort town, with a lot of activities geared towards children. Its more sedate in the fall/winter. Bakewell which is nearby is much more bustling year round.
