“Room was clean but dated and could do with a refresh. Evening meal was excellent, I had the steak & Malbec pie and it is one of the best pies I have ever eaten. Breakfast was a bit hit and miss, there were two of us and one wanted black pudding and one didn’t but neither got any, nor did we get the fried bread, there were only two juices available, orange and apple (I think) but the orange juice ran out and not replenished although there were staff around. You could have tea or coffee by request...

“Awful property,don't book it. Paint peeling off on every ceiling. Wallpaper coming away from the wall in the main bedroom. Second bedroom is very small. We booked it as a couple, if 2 couples book it....good luck! Bedroom furniture is lacking to say the least for both rooms. Thankfully I always take a candle with me, take one,the property is far from fresh. All woodwork paint damaged. Bathroom needs replacing,the bath panel is not even attached to the wall. Both beds needs replacing,...

“The hotel is having building work done which was not disclosed Drilling and hammering started at 730am Do not visit the hotel!! Terrible noise and no one at reception until after midday ”

“Staff were excellent. Food very good. Appreciated group of 10 having separate area for meals. Not keen on the bath in the bedroom, nowhere reachable to put soap or shampoo. No washbasin in the toilet. Would be better to make shower room with toilet. Bath not easy to get in and out.”

“The rooms were small and the ones on the ground floor were noisy because of the proximity to the bar/restaurant. The food (breakfast and dinner) was fantastic though!”

“Room was adequate, the heated towel rail was on the other side of the bedroom wall so the bedroom was uncomfortably hot, even at night - but the wife preferred this. The bed was quite firm and a good size. It was difficult to view the TV screen from the settee on the back wall. Tea (Yorkshire) and coffees were plentiful - not so much biscuits. Full English, plus cereals, juice, toast and tea/coffee refills welcome.”
