The EMPLOYEES of the El Moro were FANTASTIC!!! The room that we had was nice, EXCEPT that we were on the right hand side of the tower which meant the noise from the street traffic (loud music from the pulmonia's) and the local club was horrible at night! You could hear the music going at the club until 3 am most nights. The street traffic sounds usually stopped by 1 am. Our room also had a plumbing issue in the ceiling and it took four times for maintenance before it was finally fixed. The food was ok..any buffet meals were almost always cold...overall much worse since the last time we were there. The other complaint is that there was nothing to do at night after dinner. As senior citizens, and one with a walking handicap, we didn't want to go to the Castilla bar/lounge for entertainment as it was a much younger crowd and too loud. El Moro offered nothing in the way of a lounge/bar with quiet music. Mazatlan is such a beautiful city, we've been there many times. This year, however, it was very difficult to travel around as they are redoing many of the streets and sidewalks so my husband never left the hotel.
