“The house was wonderful. There were so many thoughtful touches throughout the home from fresh eggs in the fridge to the adorable charms hanging on the shower hooks! Our intentions when booking this home was to spend spring break at Hoodoo. The slopes were closed, so instead we explored many of the locations suggested by the host. “The McKenzie River house is right next to the river and all of its magnificence. Everything inside the house is there for you to enjoy the river and your stay. We are a group of plein air painters and this was our annual retreat.The wide deck above the river was very important to us to set up our easels for the views.The front wooded acreage was an alternate subject for our paintings. “Nice place, clean and cozy, Classic "grandma's house" feel. It was very pleasant stargazing from the porch with sounds of the close by river. Morning walks around the river and streets were peaceful and we saw turkeys in the yard, herons at the water and all sorts of other birds.No pot holders in the kitchen nor paper towels/napkins so come prepared with your own or buy the 5 roll at the store down the street.”

The hot tub was perfect, and the home had all the amenities our family needed to feel comfortable and at home.
