I was unable to check in. Thankfully the inn offered the credit to stay another day, so I will evaluate when it is time.
The Innkeeper went out of her way to be helpful and gave us a little gift bag for the road when we left. we stayed in the cottage, so it was quiet and quite roomy. We were able to cross the road(busy) and then had the opportunity to amble around the grounds of the Academy just across the way. Only drawback: The neighbor down the hill keeps a cow in the backyard, so it's a bit smelly.
Needs fixed up. Liked electric plug in for EV6. Breakfast was served it was hot and enjoyable. Staff was friendly. Nice departing bag with water and snack
Awesome property and experience - highly recommend
This is a very beautiful property and the photos of the interior do not do it justice. The Innkeepers do their best to make you feel welcome - the gift bag was also a nice touch. The dinner was outstanding prepared by a gourmet chef and having a custom made breakfast on the balcony of our room was wonderful. One small nit would be that the exterior requires some TLC - a lot of the gardens were overgrown, had weeds in them and there were a few dead trees; the walls could use a fresh coat of paint or a power wash; there were couple of port-o-pots in the driveway so perhaps some renovations were underway. We will definitely return when we have a chance.
This is a charming inn with an attentive staff. They had a suite with an extra bed that was perfect for me and my granddaughters. The dining was excellent.
