South Beach isn't the ritziest location, but Moxy Miami is still a decent hotel if you're aware of what surrounds it. Definitely a great hotel and location for a young and hip crowd, which is exactly what SoBe attracts.
Pros: The pools were very clean and had some pretty cool features, especially the Olympian on the 2nd floor. I appreciated the chips for a free glass of Prosecco and the card for a free appetizer from Seneca. We didn't get to use the free app card as we didn't have time to check the restaurants at the hotel out, but they looked very nice. Overall, the hotel was clean and unique, and the cleaning service worked thoroughly to keep it that way.
Indifferent: The rooms are typical hotel rooms. Like the rest of the hotel, the decor is aimed towards the young and fun, but it's nothing overwhelmingly "cool." In our King room, at least, the TV was large and had a lot of channels and streaming services to offer, which is nice if you find yourself stuck in your room for a bit, but mostly unimportant.
Cons: We splurged on a room with an ocean view, but calling it a view at all is a bit of a stretch unless you enjoy looking at the back alley behind the hotel and the thinnest stretch of water in the distance. Considering where the hotel is to the beach and the main strip, I figure this applies to all rooms that offer an "ocean view." It's not worth the extra cash.
