I grew up on the upperwestside so the location works great me.
Convenient to subway, buses and many restaurants. Close to the park.
So great for that.
The property is a bit run down, the first impression walking into the lobby, the rugs are filthy and actually a trip hazard. The elevator floors have the same issue.
I thought the room was adequate, a/c was good and is the standard for NYC apt living with window mounted a/c unit. The bathroom hot water can be another issue as it takes a while for the hot water to travel up 11 floors to our floor. There is plenty of hot water, but it takes a while/patience to reach the faucet.
Over all, hotel accommodations are becoming more expensive on the upper west side and this hotel, although not cheap is a more affordable option. Works well and gives you a real NYC life experience.
