“From the warm welcome by the hostess Caroline to the “Avoir” four days later all was so lovely. Our room was recently renovated, comfortable and so clean. Beautiful gardens - quiet and private. The breakfasts each morning were delicious and Caroline always made sure we were comfortable and informative of the area’s attractions. The location is ideal for dining and strolling through the shops, and the must see Château d’Amboise. We loved our time at Clos de Chateau and highly recommend it for……

“Beautiful property great location. My major issue was with the air-conditioning. There was none. It was a hot day in Amboise and the room was stifling. I opened the window to cool down but got bit by mosquitoes. I spoke to the front staff who said their heating and cooling were an eco-friendly system that didn’t work well on extreme temperature days. Other than that lovely day.”

“This is a super charming small hotel (10 rooms) in a quiet area of Amboise yet still just a few blocks from the Palace and other great sites. The staff is OUTSTANDING. Jean Jacques the owner greeted us at check in with an employee named Angel. He recently purchased the hotel and Angel joined his team this week. He obviously cares deeply about the place and makes sure you have everything you need. When he is not there Angel was terrific. She also cared about everything that happens at the……

“The hotel’s location is excellent, just steps from the center of town, and the price was very reasonable. The family room worked especially well for our group of four friends, offering plenty of space and the convenience of two full bathrooms. The main drawbacks are that the property feels quite dated and could benefit from renovations. The carpet was worn and had an unpleasant odor, and our biggest issue was a strong musty smell throughout the property. Room 24 also had a noticeable sewage……
