It was a really good area. Lots of good restaurants nearby and close to the metro and bus stations. The check in and check out process were clear. The room we stayed at was spacious and pretty clean. Would recommend!

Loved the size, location and the ease of communication with hotel!

This is an apartment in a standard old 3 story Montreal building. Very representative of typical downtown Montreal living. But beware - these places have little or no soundproofing. You will hear every footstep of the people above you, and the voices next door. This was OK for much of our stay but we were unlucky the first night, when people upstairs, including children, were walking and running almost continually until 1am, preventing sleep. But the other nights were not so bad. There is a lot of space, a good kitchen, and a bus stop to central Montreal right outside. And it is in an area with many nice cafes, restaurants, and tiny unique shops.

We could not have had a lovelier stay at Auberge du Vieux-Port -- even in an ice storm in March! :-) The staff was welcoming and helpful throughout our stay, going above and beyond with regard to recommendations in the area and valet parking our car for us. The room was spacious and comfortable, and decorated in such a way as to make us feel like we were staying in a cozy inn in the French countryside. The location was convenient to everything we wanted to see in the Old Port area, and Ubers were immediately and easily available for destinations farther afield. The restaurants onsite were just lovely and delicious, and the fire roaring in the fireplace in the common area was a welcome site on cold evenings. Highly, highly recommend for any visit to the beautiful city of Montreal!
