“We were greeted at the door by Liz (the owner along with her partner Lee) and immediately felt very welcomed. She gave us a great recommendation for a restaurant within walking distance and it turned out to be a lovely suggestion. The home is well kept!
At breakfast the next morning (which was quite tasty) we chatted with Lee and he gave us helpful perspectives on the area around us. We would have loved to have spent more than just one night!”
“Property was as described and as remembered (it was my granny’s old cottage!) . The welcome pack of goodies was a nice surprise. The cottage was very clean and nicely decorated with a cozy homely feel. I especially loved the fluffy white towels provided! I was put in touch with Debbie after I booked and she was great at communicating before,during and after the stay. I booked through Hotels.com but it’s a Sykes cottage and due to this Sykes wouldn’t let me amend any details through their app……
“Lovely clean family room, all brand new furnishings so really comfortable. Quiet calm place to stay, self check in so barely see anyone but that’s just fine. Lovely view of sea from room and if not then only ten paces and at sea wall so you can hear it and feel near it. Not much going on in town but just very calm and quaint and authentic so not over touristy, which is perfect. Ideal base for exploring region.”
