Loved that it was centrally located in Brookings. Basic room mostly clean. But the bathtub was not. We did complain upon checkout and manager was very nice and we were compensated. Staff very friendly and accommodating.

Loved the accommodations in general. Cute decor. Fantastic view. Our cabin was not as clean as we had hoped in certain areas of it.

While we didn't think this would be like a room at the Holiday Inn, we weren't prepared for the cute little room we got. The rooms are what used to be a RR station and have been upfitted with enough modern conveniences that you won't be disappointed - surprised, but not disappointed. Our room (and I assume the others are like this) was filled with gadgets, devices, and appliances that were vintage for the time the RR was operating and stopped there (think early 1900's). It was fun to try and figure out what these items were used for back in the day. They have WiFi, a refrigerator, a stove, and a microwave so you're not back in the 1900's yourself. It's an interesting mix of eclectic, nostalgic, and quaint. Very nice!

Do not be fooled by the marketing or the price. This is an old MOTEL. Absolutely 100% not worth the $380 per night we paid. This a $150 MOTEL based on location alone. The marketing is good here. Clever picture angles and using the words renovated. Absolutely a motel 6 on the beach. Location is great but the hotel is old, musty, and the breakfast was regular motel basic morning food. Don’t go into this thinking it’s a luxury inn and you will be fine. But charging that kind of money for this place is absolute robbery. Extend your search area and pass on this place.
