“We stayed at Highlander Mountain House for our 5-year wedding anniversary and overall the property itself is beautiful. The rooms were clean, the design and atmosphere are amazing, and the location is one of our favorites in Highlands. We also loved The Ruffed Grouse and the overall experience of the hotel. The only downside was the noise situation during our stay. The hotel was fully booked with a wedding party, and unfortunately the guests in the room next to us were extremely loud both……

“Parking access was easy. The house is just a short walk to restaurants, breweries, shopping, and a great bookstore ( eg. Wall Street bookstore) The house has a great porch and garden to sit in too. The staff were very responsive and helpful.”

“We had high hopes, but were let down. We were in the middle of an 18 hour drive and stopped for the night to take a break. Our goal was hot showers and restful sleep. We booked a room and completed check-in online in advanced. We had three adults. The check-in window is extremely hard to hear through. The bathroom had one small bar of soap. The toilet paper roll was almost fully used. There was hair stuck to the wall opposite the sink. The beds were painfully hard. The floor was squishy in……

“Place was a ghost town. Tun didn’t drain, split system and sunlight made the room very bright at night. Beds were good, check in with code was easy, construction next door, found screws in the parking lot. ”
