“The park, the trails, and the sights are beautiful and well worth a visit. The lodge and facilities are not. The lack of state funding for the property shows, which is unfortunate and sad. The good: The sheets, towels, and bed were clean and comfortable. At least there’s that. The common areas were trapped in the ‘60s, which could have been charming if not for the litter and bird droppings and dead bugs. The room was worn out - lamp was rusty, furniture was scratched and weathered, and the……

“The property is so cool! It has so much history within it. We loved just walking around and looking at the small details. It was cozy and comfy. The property was easy to find and we were given clear instructions for check in and such.”

The place was just like it said it would be and what a great experience from laying in bed watching nature, taking a shower with the a bucket head (must experience) and eating hotdogs over the fire outside! The host was great and quick to answer. Our dog loved running the yard! Just perfect for us!”

“This was MINUTES from the Ark Encounter, which is what we were in town for. VERY clean and nice. Loved all of the dishes and useful things in house. Beds were very comfortable. Nice front porch to sit on. Also, a fire pit in the backyard. We didn't use but would be nice in the Fall or cool evenings. Several options around for DoorDash or to go eat. Would definitely stay again if in the area!”
