“The room was clean,the stairs were difficult for us but we are in our 80s,the pub is located in a quiet area with easy parking ,both nights we were able to park close by.The breakfasts were well presented with generous helpings.”

I didn't like the continental offering, There was however a fridge in the room. We took our dog with us for which we paid 35 pounds there was nothing provided for the dog”

Because the hotel was closed for refurbishment - and EXPEDIA failed to notify us prior to travelling - and also EXPEDIA refused to share our phone number with the hotel so they were unable to inform us in advance of our arrival - fortunately the hotel staff were able to assist us in gettinga ccomodation nearby. “Scarborough Hill Country Inn is a a gem! We were pleased to be offered a room upgrade when we arrived as we had initially booked a small double room and a larger room was available. We were very happy with the room offered - bright, airy, thoughtfully furnished and extremely clean. An extensive range of teas, coffee and hot chocolate were provided in the room along with complementary water. The restaurant was busy, however staff were attentive, nothing was too much trouble. 5 stars for the food……

“My room was on the ground floor right next to the entrance and a lounge which I think was for the staff. It was very noisy! The tv was on and someone was talking loudly on their phone - I needed an early night as I wasn’t feeling well. That didn’t happen. As a woman travelling alone I was not comfortable with a ground floor room close to the entrance - I would have liked to open the window, but did not feel secure enough. The room was very nice and there was a good breakfast selection. I’m not……

“We had an amazing stay here and would definitely recommend! We were lucky enough to get a free upgrade on our room and it was beautifully decorated. They were friendly at check in and took us to our room, leaving us some shortbread biscuits. Breakfast in the Grain store was amazing, we also had dinner there.”

“Beautiful hotel, rooms and breakfast freshly cooked. However, when arrived they hadn't got the booking through, which also caused an issue at breakfast time. We arrived at breakfast at peak time but they could do with more staff as it was chaotic. Had to wait 20 mins for them to take the order and no vegetarian sausages. Lovely location, and lots of car parking space.”
