“We had a great stay at the Black Bear Inn in Orono, Maine. We loved that it's truly pet-friendly, making it easy to travel with our furry companion. The food was delicious, and the complimentary warm soup served every afternoon was a wonderful and thoughtful treat. The staff was friendly, and our room was clean and comfortable. We would gladly stay here again!”

“The hotel is located inside the University of Maine campus, which is quiet, safe, and has convenient parking. The rooms seem to be converted from student dormitories, so the layout is different from typical hotels. The bathroom in my room was exceptionally large, almost at a luxury mansion level, and the bed was also big. The room was clean with high ceilings, but there was no desk available for use, which was somewhat inconvenient.”

“This is a wonderful place which we really enjoyed, but a couple things are not in the listing but should be:1. The water is not drinkable and no bottle water will be supplied. You need to bring enough bottled water to last your entire stay. The water has a distinct odor and metallic/sulphur taste probably because it is drawn directly from the lake or a spring nearby and not filtered or treated. However, it's OK for showering and doing dishes.2. There are a lot of biting insects, probably due to……
