I looked for good hostels with some privacy in Osaka for a reasonable price (for Osaka) and I found this one.
Overaly it was okay, good location, nice staff with great service (they kept my bag for free for few hours after check out), super fast wifi, nice and interesting public sauna, nice japanese toilets, overaly clean,...
Though, some things were not so good like the mattress that is just really too thin and can be problematic for those who have a sensible back, the pillows were weird with a side having small balls in it which means you can't use both sides of the pillow........
Also the fact that we do not have a private safe. We do have a small safe with code inside but it's just way to small to put anything in it.... there is a cabinet in our bed space, but it's not possible to lock it.... I think they should have installed something to let us put a lock on the cabinet instead of putting a fairly small an useless code lock....
I also find problematic the fact that the bathroom area has no door/no separation from the room where people sleep, so if you brush your teeths or take a shower at night, you might make a lot of noise for others who try to sleep.... that's just another design mistake that could probably be fixed easily....
So : put better mattresses ; a way to put a lock on the personal cabinets ; and install a door to separate the bathroom area..... and that would be the perfect hostel and deserve better the price I paid (that was not so cheap)....
