House was a good size for our needs and easy to find. There was some loud music next door several evenings, but neighbors nodded and said hello if we passed them.”

The apartment was clean, comfortable, and the location couldn’t have been better—right in the heart of Mystic Falls and within walking distance of all the shops, restaurants, and filming locations. Carli was a wonderful host and provided incredibly detailed check-in instructions, easy-to-follow directions, and great recommendations for local places to visit and eat, which made our trip so much easier and more enjoyable. “Conditions were not as expected. Property is old and needs much improvement on the exterior and interior. Guest bathroom water did not get hot. Host was informed of many details to include pest. One TV had to be plugged out and back in each time for it to power on. Stains left on bedding in the maste suite including the pillow...this property could be enjoyable with attention to detail and upgrades ”

“Pros: really soft and comfy beds, plenty of towels (found in the dryer), large TV in living room, washer and dryer in unitCons: didn’t receive code for front door until I called the owner 5x (voicemail was full) and messaged VRBO asking for it on Friday night when we arrived. He called back Sunday to see why we called. Paint was peeling on walls. It definitely wasn’t cleaned properly before we checked in (clothing stickers on the walls and tinsel all over the floor). Front screen door was broken……

“My wife and myself have rented many VRBO properties and have a top raying as guest. Unfortunately after driving for eight hours we found out the access code to the property did not work. The host did not respond to our messaging. We called vrbo customer service, they could not contact the host either. VRBO offered us assistance in finding another host and covering the cost of a higher price. That was wonderful. Due to the late time of day we declined and was given a full refund. Great job by……
