“The room was reasonably clean, though the walls showed the wear and tear of time. The general amenities were sparse. The staff were pleasant and helpful, but there were few of them so wait times to get help were sometimes long. Breakfast was expensive, and the staff recommended using a local coffee shop for breakfast. The location is right downtown so it is close to places to eat and shops. Considering the cost of other hotels in Papeete, this is a good choice for the cost-conscious traveler.”

“Tea Tahiti is within walking distance to the market, bus station and centre of town. Thankfully the taxi driver knew the property as it is located on a small side street off a main road and the property has no sign (that I could see) to indicate it is Tea Tahiti.
There was some initial confusion about my booking but was pleased to be able to drop off my bag in the morning before reception closed for lunch. The room was clean but had not been renovated any time recently. It was OK for a one……
