Shepherd helped carefully coordinate logistics regarding pickups, meals, and even an excursion to Kruger National Park. Benjamin was an outstanding guide for our morning and evening game rides, looking for paw prints and signs taking us to lions, giraffes, rhinos, impala, zebras, and more - seeing animals up close was an amazing experience! Our accommodations (Superior Suite #8) overseeing the reserve had a phenomenal view of the river and nearby mountains. All the staff were kind, helpful and nothing was an issue to them. We had read reviews saying the food was good but we were pleasantly surprised with how good! Every meal we had was great, especially as we were lucky enough to have braai for two evening meals."Reviewed October 9, 2026Roundtrip • Portland (PDX) - Hoedspruit (HDS)PDX - HDS • 3 stops HDS - PDX • 3 stops$5,701$4,707found 15 hours agoper traveler - Ukanyi Luxury Villa - All Inclusive

"We had wonderful 4 days in the honeymoon cottage at the end of our South Africa trip. The cottages was perfectly equipped in a way we have never experienced before. Rainer, the very helpful and attentive host, thought about everything you might need during your stay. Despite a power-outage due to a cable theft in the community we still enjoyed the wood fire oven, the barbeque and the rain shower. We also want to mention the beautiful gardens and nice hiking trails, one leads to an impressive...
"The garden room that I booked was just okay a bit disappointed as here is not even a single bottle of water in the room I have forgotten to make provision for water...the breakfast is a bit disappointed compared to the dinner which is delicious 😋"
"Excellently stay Recommend"
"Architecture and location are outstanding. Truly amazing. The Grotto suites are stunning. The views, to die for. The downsides are that the building is in need of a bit of maintenance with chipped and scratched plaster abounding. Our fridge was not clean but the linen was perfect. Lack of stair lighting to go to the main function areas is not great. Food in restaurants was good with large portions and welcoming, helpful staff. Highly recommend as a Kruger Park journey stop-over."
"We loved this little gem of a property. Definitely cute, cozy, and well-maintained. We booked a very last-minute stay, and they were able to accommodate us. Jane made us an amazing and delicious breakfast. I would definitely stay here again."
"All good clean and nice. At aa werry good cost. "
"Wir wurden Tipp Topp empfangen. Die Zimmer sind geräumig und sauber - für uns, wir suchten etwas für 1 Nacht (sind von der Panorama Route gekommen und sind am Tag darauf in den Kruger Nat. Park), haben sonst weiterhin nix gebraucht, war es total passend."
"They didn’t have our reservation!"
