“When I made the reservation at Maca Bana, I looked at the photos and read the reviews. I was confident we would like the place. After being here for a 5-day stay it far exceeded my expectations. Yes the place is beautiful and set within the paradise of Grenada. However, Maca Bana and the related Aquarium restaurant and the beautiful and sparsely populated Magazine beach together are an amazing ensemble. The hotel staff were amazing. “Oh My goodness this hotel exceeded my expectations to the 100th power. The hotel check in was smooth they had everything ready on arrival the hotel shuttle was outside prompt and ready to pick me up the room was HUGEEEEEEEEEE we stayed in the indigo suites the view was breathtaking. Made sure to visit and eat at doggy docks especially on Wednesday for the street food. The pool nice and warm there are 4 pools and I tried every one of them! I would give this hotel a 7.5 out of 10. “This is a low cost property, but for the low price, it's very good. It's clean and tidy, but certainly not salubrious. It's not particularly conveniently placed relative to the town, but it's on a major bus route--the (very frequent) number 1 route that goes right to the central bus station. There's not much nearby except for a couple of small stores, and the airport is just under a mile away, down a steep hill. That was a good thing for me as I had to walk there. “Everybody was so helpful at the place. The staff was the best. The staff made what was a beautiful place. Amazing. We especially liked Loren, Ingrid and the wonderful gentleman at the front. Be sure to go to listen to the music with the gal that sings beautiful karaoke. We would definitely come again five stars.”

“Although the rooms need to be upgraded, they were spacious and clean. Rooms are equipped with a refrigerator but no microwave. No local tv as well. Beach views are breathing and the property sits directly on one of the best beaches in the island. The location is quiet and peaceful. Breakfast is served on the property restaurant. Reasonable prices and varied with local options. Restaurant and bar service was a little slow and server attitude could be improved for some, not all. Overall a great……

Every single member of the staff is very attentive to your needs/requests as well as genuinely caring. The beach is literally steps from your room. The food is fresh and tasty. If you want to go into St. George's, the bus ride is scenic and inexpensive - or the staff can arrange other transportation. Room could use a little TLC with things like a broken soap dish in the shower, but we are an active outdoor couple and don't need grand comfort. You are in the tropical jungle so expect bugs. The voice of the jungle speaks at night.
