“Breakfast was great! Hospitality was absolutely top notch. The pool is very clean, the water is colder than expected. Having no A/C is a change, but the area is not as warm as la fortuna. Great place in the middle of everything. ”

“Property is fantastic beautiful views and view of small waterfall. Walk around property and enjoy the nature, river, waterfall. Property manager on site was super friendly and helpful. Three story type house. Kids loved the bunk at the top. Easy walk to town for food and groceries. We stopped here between drive from SJO and La fortune and stayed one night then went to blue falls great stop!! ”

“Cindy, the owner, was an excellent host. Very proactively engaged in our experience from the day we booked. The bungalows look into the forest and dining pavilion were new, modern, and well equipped. Cindy is also the chef, and serves and excellent breakfast and dinner. She also arranged activities for us, which was fabulous. The beds were comfortable and large, with an outside deck. The location is remote (which is the point of booking - for that tree canopy experience) and windy drive, so……

“Staff were very nice. Beautiful location and gorgeous property. I didn’t like the fact that animals were in captivity. We went to Nayara next and found monkeys were free there jumping from tree to tree. It also got very crowded during the day as they allow outside guests to the gardens. It is priced high compared to other luxury properties and its overall value. Adding the breakfast can be a good feature they can offer. Overall - staff are very nice. We likes the trails and waterfall. Value for……

“Magnifique hébergement avec un personnel aux petits soins. Confort, et grand luxe!! Par contre, la nourriture est beaucoup trop chère pour la qualité proposée qui n’est pas, à mon avis, à la hauteur d’un deux clés Michelin… en commençant par le café. Décevant pour un pays qui produit du café si merveilleux! L’hôtel aurait tout avantage à former ses employés à la méthode des baristas et offrir de vrais cafés de spécialités. Et payer des soupes du jour très ordinaires, à 15$ USD du bol, c’est……

“The couple who owns the place was very nice, accommodating and friendly. You have to pay attention when you first arrive, as the area is not marked very well. the beds were very comfortable and the view from the balcony was perfect. ”

“The property was clean and well kept. Breakfast was delicious. Staff was friendly. If you are looking for a quiet place to stay this is not it. It is located on a busy road with extremely loud traffic all day and night. Ear plugs were provided but were useless. I'm happy thay my stay was limited to one night as I require quiet enjoyment in my lodgings. Parking was also tricky and the rivers and gardens mentioned in other reviews were non existent. This property is 2 hours away from San Jose……
