"I wish I did a little more research before booking. This lodge used to be a hostel and still seems more like a hostel than lodge. It would be perfect if I wasn’t traveling with a toddler who wants to get into everything. Location is about a five minute drive from the beach. We saw a ton of deer. It’s a little ways to the shipwreck and lighthouse. Great for trail access. Overall, if you’re traveling with small children or folks who overheat easily, maybe not the best place. "The house and gardens were very nice and clean. The just responsive. We would have liked to have known beforehand that absolutely no guests were allowed at any time of day or night. We have friends in the area and might well have had them to dinner and felt unable to do so. There were not enough window screens and one bedroom had no windows that could be opened at all. As other reviewers have written, that was not a comfortable hangout place that would hold all seven members so far family....
