Our Stay
There were a couple of issues with our stay I would like to share.
1 When we first arrived we had trouble entering. 1st, it’s a 9 digit code, too long in my opinion. But on top of that the instructions were for a Yale lock, this home has a Schlage lock. We struggled with that (thought about calling for a key) and finally went thru the VRBO/Vacasa app for confirmation on how to operate it. Shouldn’t have to jump thru hoops just to enter.
2. Then there was the refrigerator delivery. We get a text stating, literally, FYI, a fridge will be delivered on 2/20. To the driveway? Into the home? Rob called and talked to a Vacasa rep about this and yes, in fact the fridge would be switched out. A rep would meet the delivery and we could be there or not. This in itself is intrusive. Do we schedule the 4 hour window to be here and move our own food? Do we put it in coolers? The appx $1600 in Vacasa fees are paid for these exact things not to happen. It got a little worse. On Tuesday I got two missed calls and a text regarding this fridge. This is the text:
Fridge guy is 15 away. I’m more than 15 minutes away. Is the door open. I’m on Mexico Beach. He was supposed to call 30 mins before
I am not a coworker of this person. There was a 4 hour window, 12-4, and a Vacasa rep should have been here waiting in the driveway for the delivery, period.
