"Large and clean room with amusing Edgar Allen Poe themed decorations. Modern bathroom, plenty of pillows. The hotel is a row of old townhouses restored well. Friendly and helpful staff. Didn't have breakfast here. Restaurants nearby. No complaints. "

"It was my first time staying at a Drury property. I was most impressed with the facility and the amenities. Will definitely look for Drury properties in the future!"

"The room itself was very spacious and clean. Had a microwave and fridge and good sized shower. The only small negative was the hallways were quite dated, although it looks like there's some renovations going on. The state of the hallways definitely don't transfer into the rooms though. A fantastic hotel. Also there's no garage parking directly tied to the hotel, but there are 2 garages very close by."

"The parking situation is ridiculous. Arrived at 3:45pm to a line of cars spilling out into the road and the valets doing nothing but standing around. No cars were being parked and everyone was getting frustrated. Finally after waiting nearly 30 mins, I parked the car in the line and went to get one of the valets myself. Was told I had to use an app/website to request the car and pay the $53 fee. After dealing with the parking situation, we went inside the hotel to check in. Check in was largely uneventful, but for a property claiming to be “4 stars” the decor and carpeting is subpar. This feels a lot like a Hampton Inn or other 2 star hotel. The room we were given had a strong odor of bleach, the door to the bathroom had a huge gash across the face of it from the entry door slamming into it. There’s no way to keep the bathroom door open because it’s on a self closing hinge. The air conditioning would not go below 67°F on the settings, but the room felt like it was in the mid-70s. We slept on top of the blankets and sheet the entire night because it felt so warm. I would not stay at the Hilton again. For all of the talk about this property being historic and upmarket, nothing about the appearance or experience felt high end. The ice maker on the 4th floor was also broken and all I was told when I advised the front desk staff was to just go use another floor’s ice maker. That’s fine, but no effort was made by them to repair it during our stay. "

"Nestled in a beautifully restored early 20th-century building on West Broad Street, Quirk Hotel is a love letter to Richmond's creative soul. The rooms are sharp and well-appointed, with an industrial-meets-modern aesthetic and art everywhere that feels genuinely curated rather than decorative. The rooftop bar is a highlight — great skyline views, solid cocktails, and a vibe that makes you want to linger. Demi, the ground-floor restaurant, punches well above hotel-dining expectations, and a busy brunch crowd of locals tells you everything you need to know. The boutique charm does come at boutique prices, and the Broad Street location, while walkable to galleries and restaurants, puts you a bit of a distance from the riverfront and other parts of the city. Parking is worth planning ahead for. But as Richmond hotels go, Quirk earns its reputation as a place that feels genuinely rooted in the city rather than imported from a generic hospitality brand. It's a distinctive, worthwhile stay."

"Rooms are poorly maintained. Furnitures are broken and are from old furnitures thrown from some Hilton hotel. Don't have an Iron box, please carry one if you need one during the stay. No kettles to even prepare coffee in the morning. Floors makes your feet dirty. Bathroom has no hooks to hang your cloths. There are no hangers in the room. The photos are fake, doesn't look like it at all. You will get a much better experience for this price somewhere else "

"Property was convenient. Denny's within walking distance. Parking was available with good lighting. Bathroom was clean but washcloths had seen better days. Nice big refrigerator and kitchen. Mattress was very firm. Staff was friendly."

"Our recent two-night stay at this Wingate by Wyndham location was very disappointing and reflected a number of maintenance and operational issues that should have been addressed before guests were assigned to the room. We booked a king room with a sofa bed, but were given only a standard king room. The front desk provided a rollaway cot as a workaround, which required us to rearrange the room to make space. Compounding the issue, the elevator was not working and we were assigned a room on the 5th floor, which was difficult while traveling with two children and luggage. The room itself had several clear maintenance problems that suggested it had not been properly checked prior to our arrival. These included a bathroom faucet that broke off, making the sink difficult to use, a cracked refrigerator that made a constant ticking noise that disrupted sleep, not enough towels provided, incorrect time on both the microwave and the clock, visible baseboard damage, and a lamp with no bulb. To be fair, the front desk staff member was polite and tried to assist, but many of these issues point to larger property maintenance and quality control concerns that management should address. Guests should reasonably expect that rooms are properly inspected, functional, and match the room type that was booked. Hopefully management takes steps to resolve these issues so future guests have a better experience than we did."
