“The hotel is in the perfect spot, right in the harbour. The room was massive and well equipped with a lovely view. The building is obviously extremely old which has its limitations on decor etc but we had an amazing time there. Would recommend.”

“The hotel was very well situated on a pedestrianised street. WiFi was very good. Breakfast was fabulous with lots of choice. The staff are helpful. The only thing I thought missing from the room was a dressing table with a mirror & seat, but otherwise plenty of storage.”

“A warm welcome from Jenny. Excellent breakfasts. A characterful property of considerable age with slightly quirky elements: who would expect statues of a Buddha and komodo dragon in a former abbey? Our en suite room room was spacious and clean. The large bed looked a little antique, but was very comfortable. Many would join us in liking like that mix of character and comfort.”

“We are a family of 4 (kids 8 and 11) staying in a room set up as a family room - double bed and the kids sharing a sofa bed. The room was snug but really good. Each room is 3 old cells knocked into 1, with the bathroom taking up 1/3 or of the room. The bathroom was really good and enormous. The staff at the hotel were super friendly and helpful. The restaurant served good bistro food, and you could sit out in the courtyard which was very pleasant. The breakfast was also great and worth the...

“Lovely hotel. We stayed in a room in the building next to the hotel. Had a lovely evening meal one night. Nice breakfast but the only niggle was that they did run out of a couple of items ar our last breakfast”

“We really enjoyed our stay at the Lanhydrock Hotel, lovely clean room, great staff & the food was excellent. Stunning scenery and sunsets out on the terrace bar. Will definitely be returning for another stay.”

“Amazing views, very lovely staff, easy parking, very clean and comfortably spacious rooms. Only thing to note is that if the bar / restaurant is open and music on, and it's summer and you have windows open, it can get a bit noisy on the top floor. We stayed Friday and sat night so that might also make a difference. Parents were in room on cliffside below the restaurant and was much quieter there. Five stars easily even with this!”

“Very good value for money, nice bar area, great location next to the beach, unfortunately heating broke down but that was beyond their control, they should have offered a free drink or similar. Would stay again, I was in an en-suite room which was good value, I was on my own but room could sleep 3. Would stay again ”
