“Staff were friendly, room was good size for us and our two dogs, found the bed rather firm for us and was rather closer to the motorway than I realised you would have heard traffic all the time if the window was open but luckily there was a fan. The on site cafe was great. Pet friendly, lovely people and good food. Would stay there again for that reason. ”

“The bedrooms were quite shabby. The carpet was stained, the TV remote didn't work, nor did the bathroom fan and the dressing table chair was worn through. In my husband's room the bathroom bin hadn't been emptied and the wall heater was very marked and dirty. Every other guest we spoke to had similar stories. To be fair, the public rooms were in a better condition.”

“Our stay was perfect. We were away for a romantic trip and the cottage was perfect for that. The cottage was beautiful and had everything you could possibly need for a romantic few days away, including two big bath towels each, never mind all the other little touches and the excellent welcome basket. We would highly recommend it to anyone and would love to come back someday. ”

“The hotel lobby and the room I stayed in had been recently refurbished. Other areas of the building were tired and not to the same standard. The tap water in the room ran yellow for a while and the shower didn't drain. The hotel is under refurbishment so hopefully when it's complete the experience will be consistent throughout. On a whole, it was good value for money but not as modern/fancy as the pictures portray.”

“I liked the design of the room, amenities and the A/C worked perfectly in the greatest heat outside. It was moden and quiet inside the room. Our windows were facing the car park and motorway services, so occasionally a noise from cars could be heard. But we slept well and the beds were comfortable. The bathroom could do with some restoration soon, as signs of wear could be visible. But overall for the price we paid and convenient location it was a very good choice.”

“Hotel in perfect location for exploring Liverpool, close to docks, shops and numerous places to eat. Hotel is excellent value for money and Raphael, Gill and the team are so friendly and nothing is too much trouble. We would definitely stay again.”

“The bed was very uncomfortable!!! It dipped in the middle so it was quite difficult to lie flat. The balcony only had one seat on it but, as we couldn’t get the door open anyway, that wasn’t a problem. I didn’t take a shower cap with me as I expected the hotel to provide a selection of toiletries. It didn’t. The shower head was a bit loose and out of my reach and, at one point, it was actually pointing at the wall with most of the water running down the wall. We definitely would not return and……

“quite noizy for the room located on the road side, even after close the window. Luckily the staff in the frant desk was very kind to exchange our room close to the less noizy corner. Otherwise this is a very good choice hotel in terms of CP value. ”
