We really enjoyed the pool, the grounds are nice and the restaurant is good. Some upgrades maybe needed here and there, but a great location and good hotel for a little get away.
A great one-night stay! The hotel was clean, our room was comfortable (though the bathroom layout could use a tweak), and the Nespresso coffee was a nice touch. Parking was a little bit tough, but despite checking in late and not speaking much French, the front desk staff was wonderfully helpful. We'd love to stay here again to explore more!
Our stay was lovely as we made our way to PEI. This was a nice relaxing spot to stop on a long road trip. The staff were very kind and welcoming. The food and cocktails were very good at the restaurant on-site.
The pool and hot tub were as good as in the hotel photos. We loved the a la carte breakfast and the garden very much. Good for vacation with and without kids.
Great location, clean, great amenities. Room was nice, just needed a bit of more in depth cleaning and some tlc from maintenance, but nothing to complain about.
The kids room with the candy is an excellent idea! My niece loved it! The pool area was beautiful. The staff were extremely kind and helpful. Even the scent of the hallways was very nice. I have nothing but great things to say about this resort! Will definitely stay again!
The room is not very clean especially the bathroom smells no good. The mattresses of the beds are very worn out with the middle part being deeply sank down, making sleeping very uncomfortable.
The facility seems old despite pleasant environment in the suburbs. Parking Charge of $20 per night doesn’t make sense given its location and space.
Great stay overall! The room was very comfortable, with a cozy bed, cooling sheets and pillows, and A/C that worked perfectly. The breakfast buffet was good, and the staff were very kind and helpful.
The only downside was that there was nothing in the room to drink or snack on, even for purchase—not even a bottle of water. For a 5-star hotel, I think complimentary bottled water should be the minimum. I still would recommend.
Great place to relax. Outdoor pool and jacuzzi are well maintained and pleasant. It’s a nice place away from the city commotion. The brunch on weekends is a must-go. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Recommended 100%.
PS: Some rooms are a little older, but still nice and well maintained.
This is an absolutely beautiful property. The grounds, the pool, the hot tub - fantastic. There are hammocks, picnic tables, plenty of seating outdoors. The hotel itself has so much potential. We were in the part of the hotel that used to allow smoking and unfortunately the smell remained. The hotel was fully booked so they could not move us, but they were attentive to our concern and provided air freshener. The room itself was enchanting, with a cute layout for kids and it was very spacious and comfortable. A reno on this room, including removing the old carpet and drapes, would make it absolutely spectacular. The fitness area was also amazing. Lots of equipment and space divided over two rooms. Smoothies and little snacks were provided post-workout. The hotel is conveniently located and has lots of easy, free parking. We did not use the restaurant, but it looked lovely. Staff were helpful. This hotel, with a refresh, would be absolutely amazing. I would go again, but specifically request to be in the side of the hotel that has always been non-smoking.
While the outdoor spa and grounds at Hotel Le Bonne Entente were clean and enjoyable, the overall experience did not reflect the premium price tag. Front desk service was sluggish, often leading to recurring lineups and long wait times just to check in. Our room was noticeably dated, featuring an older thermostat that made temperature control frustrating, a bathtub without a proper showerhead stand, and no dedicated towels readily available for the hot tub without having to call down. Dinner service was equally poor, despite few guests and roughly six servers on duty, drink orders took far too long, and we were told the kitchen was closed even while fresh food continued to be brought out to other tables. With expensive nightly rates plus additional parking and resort fees, the slow service and dated amenities simply do not justify the cost.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Robert very helpful on arrival the check in was quite satisfactory. Warning they do not have elevator but will assist with your bags . My reservation was for a king bed , we did not get that but the bedding was lovely, the bed itself not so comfortable. Stiff back by second night . Also a beverage credit was not applied as per my reservation . The restaurant was fine we ate dinner both nights and enjoyed both. Our server was Marykim who provided excellent service . We did not use pool or spa , both looked nice. From the hotel it’s a $30 dollar uber to Old Quebec and was easy to Uber . Parking is $20 per night and resort fees $30 per night. Parking is secure and safe . This is a peaceful hotel in a nice residential neighbourhood.
I had the opportunity to experience 5-star hotels in the past and I can only say that this is not such an establishment. Our stay was a complete disaster from the start to the end!
We waited for the check-in without even being acknowledged: no hello or we'll be right with you. Then the elevator didn't work, so staircase it was. As for our room, the humidity smell was omnipresent and terrible but we managed to eventually get used to it. Sadly, we had the terrible idea to start the in-room whirlbath which kept restarting every 10-minutes because we were unable to empty it as the drain plug was stuck. So my husband and I had to empty the bath water in the toilet with the garbage bin because there was nobody to help us, a real nightmare.
To top things off, we also had to wait 30 minutes for our table at the restaurant, even if we had a reservation. Fortunately, the food and service were both impeccable.
And on our last day, while going to the pool and jacuzzi, we had to call the front desk and wait for towels.
After all this, I would have expected some form of compensation such as a restaurant voucher or something but we were told, "we can't do anything for you because you reserved through Expedia", seriously?
Therefore, Expedia, please do not offer this nightmare of a hotel anymore, because as users of your platform, we receive terrible service.
To finish, while this place may have been nice 10 or 20 years ago, it is no longer the case, so stay away!
It is a beautiful hotel with a very clean pool and jacuzzi, beautiful restaurant and lobby
Dinner was very good, good flavor, but portions were tiny. Almost dietary and very pricy.
Breakfast brunch was amazing; lots to choose from, excellent presentation and good flavor.
The service was excellent, very kind staff.
However, we were extremely disappointed with the look and condition of the carpet all over the facility and in our bedroom. Really ragged, stained, ripped in some areas and very dirty specially in the room. We found hairs in the shower, one of the rolls of toilet paper was almost finished, so they gave us the same one from previous guests instead of giving us a new roll.
We reserved the business room but the condition of the doors, old bathroom and terrible carpet didn’t make us feel like working in there. The pad left for notes had also been used, it hardly had any pages left. It is very important to consider those details; when new guests arrive to the bedroom, everything should be new. The handle was broken, the door very old and peeled.
They need to do a lot of maintenance, renovations and better cleaning inside the rooms looks like.
Pretty noisy at night from people talking outside the bedroom and heard their steps above and next to us. Overall beautiful hotel, excellent breakfast and staff, but very disappointed with carpets and bedroom.
